I'm from dairy farming country, I'm used to cows. They're docile and stupid and are unlikely to chase you up a tree. But when you get up close you remember that they're actually pretty big and could flatten you if the notion took them. I met these two old dears munching from a feed tray while I was walking through their field to take a look at a lough. I recently spent 10 days in my old home town of St. Clears, where I had the chance to take these below. I was perusing my OS map when something called St Canna's Chair caught my eye. So I parked by Padraicins pub and took a walk along the beach. On my way back I stopped to take this shot. I had my gear set up and was waiting for the sun to pop out from behind the clouds to light up the foreground, when I turned to find that tide had come in and my way back to the car was under water! I quickly scooped up my gear and legged it. I didn't actually know that I had this shot until I downloaded the memory card after shooting
